Black History Month Celebration – The New Black History Maker

Young, Gifted, and Black! Amanda Gorman, At a very young age, dreamed of being President of the United States and we believe her! Born and raised in Los Angele, March 7, 1998. This wordsmith is the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history. A Harvard cum laude graduate, Ms. Gorman,  has received a Genius Grant from OZY Media, the Glamour magazine College Women of the Year Awards, and the Webby Awards. She’s also written for the New York Times and has three books forthcoming with Penguin Random House as well as being a recipient of the Poets & Writers Barnes & Noble Writers for Writers Award, and is the youngest board member of 826 National, the largest youth writing network in the United States. We salute Amanda Gorman, one of today’s Black History Makers
